    Summer Jazz & Show

    WorkshopAdults 30+

    For adult dancers who want to challenge themselves in the jazz dance genre. The class includes a warm-up, a floor exercises, various jazz dance isolation and coordination exercises, as well as progressive jazz dance combinations. We develop dance movements through expression and interpretation of music.

    Bring your own dance workout clothes and a drinking bottle. Come in bare feet and and hair tied up. Leave outside of the studio: uncertainty and negative thoughts about your own body, physical condition and competence.

    Summer Yoga-Pilates

    WorkshopAdults 18+

    Dance Up Yoga-Pilates is an asana practice seasoned with Pilates, based on precision and careful alignment. The practice combines awareness, concentration and breathing with physical exercises and relaxation. The classes include a core section based on Pilates. The goals of the practice are a flexible, strong and relaxed body and mind, as well as a peaceful atmosphere in the spirit of yoga philosophy. Your own skin-tight outfit, bare feet, water bottle, towel and hair tied up. Your own mat, you can borrow the studio's mat.

    Summer Ballet Adults

    Looking for enhancing body awareness, posture, strength, and flexibility through elegant ballet technique? This class is for you! We’ll begin with a warm-up that includes strength and mobility exercises, then move into fundamental ballet steps and a light, dance-inspired combination. By the end of the session, you’ll float out of the studio with a spring in your step, a lifted posture, and a joyful mind, ready to enjoy the summer evening!

    Take with you comfortably-fitting dance attire, socks or soft ballet slippers, a water bottle.

    Days: 29.5, 2.6, 5.6, 7.8 & 14.8

    You can use your 5-class pass for any of our adult summer courses.

    Summer Intensive training

    WorkshopAdvancedJuniors 12+

    Summer Intensive is for dancers who want to train several styles in one weekend and develop their technique, expression, and versatility. The weekend includes classes in Commercial, Contemporary, Jumps & Turns, Show Dance, and body care.

    In Commercial, you’ll work with attitude, energy, hit music, and movement inspired by music videos. Contemporary combines elements of contemporary and jazz dance, with choreography that develops technique and expression. Jumps & Turns focuses on jumps and pirouettes, building strength and preparing the body for safe, correct technique. Show Dance emphasizes strong performance and varied movement, with a jazz-based technique, theatrical elements, and accessible acrobatics. Body care supports mobility, strength, recovery, and overall dancer wellbeing.

    The day also includes a guest teachers. This intensive is best suited for junior and adult dancers at intermediate to advanced level.

    You can also attend only half of the day training or a single dance class.

    Dance Up Dames

    Seniors 60+BeginnerIntermediate

    This group is for Dames over 60 who want to keep moving safely, improve balance and mobility, and feel better in both body and mind. It is suitable for beginners and those with some experience.

    In class, you will dance and move to contemporary dance and improvisation, together with body care exercises inspired by yoga and pilates. The training is effective but gentle and based on research-based methods. You can expect to build strength and stamina, release tension, and leave class feeling more relaxed and refreshed.

    The most important requirement is a willingness to participate regularly throughout the season. A 10-class card is used for the course.

    Dance Technique

    Kids 9-12yJuniors 12+Intermediate

    A couple of years of dance experience is needed. Students learn to support their posture with core muscles support and correct body alignment. Jazz dance sequences are focused on developing turnout, jumping strength, balance, mobility and flexibility. We recommend Technique to all dancers as a part of a core dance curriculum. This class is recommended to for a Dance Up Stars Group dancers.

    Bring along close-fitting dance clothes and a water bottle. We dance bare foot or in toe socks, with hair tied up.

    Dance Technique

    Juniors 12+Advanced

    For dance students with several years of dance technique or ballet training experience. Classes focus on both the physical and intellectual understanding of correct alignment, core strength, turnout, balance and jump technique. Classes include dance workout, center work and progressive dance sequences. We recommend Technique class to all dancers as a part of a core dance curriculum. This class is required for a Dance Up Sparks Group dancers.

    Bring along close-fitting dance clothes and a water bottle. We dance bare foot or in toe socks, with hair tied up.

    Adults 30+BeginnerIntermediate

    Contemporary dance is for adults who want to develop body awareness, strength and flexibility through guided sequences and improvisation. The class includes contemporary dance technique, floor exercises, a dance sequence and body care. As you practice, your body control, muscle strength and suppleness improve, and you gain confidence to challenge yourself in new ways while exploring your own movement language.

    Yoga - Pilates

    Yoga-Pilates is for anyone who wants a balanced class that combines the best parts of yoga and pilates. The practice offers a challenging yet nourishing workout that develops body awareness, concentration, breathing, strength, flexibility and relaxation.

    Exercises are adapted to participants' individual needs, so you can join even if you are a beginner. Bring comfortable close-fitting workout clothes, bare feet, a water bottle and a towel. Keep your hair tied back. Bring your own mat or borrow one from the studio.

    A new dance choreography is created for the choreography group every year, which they perform / compete in dance competitions and reviews. Apply to this group if you are passionate about performing and competing, ready to commit to long-term practice, following the group’s common rules and working as a team. In addition to the choreography class, the dancer attends 1-2 optional dance lessons, preferably technique or ballet & character dance class. Choreography group fee includes weekly practices and choreography group's fee. Choreography group's fee consists of choreography's fee, dance clothes and costume orders, some of the costumes' costs, dance-competition order process, dance teacher travel costs, choreography group's extra yearly activities such as organised group activities at the beginning and the end of year, student evaluation.

    Dance uniform, which is not included in the fee above, will be ordered for the group in the beginning of the season. Bring a happy mind, toe socks, a drink bottle and your hair tied up.

    Contemporary

    Dancers for advanced level. Contemporary is for dancers who want to combine elements of contemporary dance and jazz dance while developing their technique and movement expression.

    In class, you will start with a warm-up that supports the style’s technique, then move on to varied choreography where you can challenge yourself and enjoy movement. The course helps you build technical skills, broaden your movement language, and strengthen your body expression.

    Bring your own dance clothes and a water bottle. Dance barefoot or in socks, and keep your hair tied back.

    Dance Up Sparks

    A new dance choreography is created for the choreography group every year, which they perform / compete in dance competitions and reviews.     In addition to the choreography class, the dancer attends at least 2 dance classes: technique class, which is paired up with the choreography class and an optional dance class. Choreography group fee includes weekly practices and choreography group's fee.

    Dance Up Infinity

    Dance Up Infinity is a choreography group for dancers aged 14+ who are excited about performing, competing, and working toward a shared group piece over the season. A new choreography is created each year and performed at dance competitions and reviews.

    Admission is by audition. This group is a good fit if you are ready to commit to long-term practice, follow shared team rules, and work consistently as part of a group. In addition to the choreography class, dancers are expected to attend at least two dance classes per week, and one of them must be Contemporary.

    Bring a positive attitude, toe shoes, and a water bottle. Hair tied up.

    Jazz & Show

    Adults 30+IntermediateAdvanced

    Jazz & Show is for adult dancers who want to dive into the energy of jazz dance with a touch of show style. In class, you will warm up, do isolation, coordination and technique exercises, travel across the floor with rhythmic step combinations, and finish with a longer jazz dance sequence with show elements. You will move to great music, from R&B and pop hits to musical numbers, and leave class feeling energized and full of the joy of dance.

    Bring your own dance outfit and a water bottle. Dance barefoot and tie your hair back. Leave negative thoughts about your body, fitness level and skills outside the studio, and come as you are.

    For dance students with some previous jazzdance experience. Jazzdance is an energetic class that include center work and across the floor turn and jump combinations. The lesson includes rhythmics, body isolation and coordination exercises, strengthening and mobility exercises.

    Ballet - Character -pointe

    BeginnerIntermediateKids 9-12yJuniors 12+

    This course is for children with a few years of dance or gymnastics experience who want to continue developing their ballet technique and try character dance with pointe work. Ballet gives a strong foundation for all dance styles and many sports, while improving posture, strength, mobility, coordination, agility, musicality, persistence, and confidence. Character dance brings in rhythms and movement from folk-dance traditions, making technique training lively and fun. The class also includes a short pointe section to strengthen the feet and ankles, improve balance, and support upper-body control. We also create new performances in class.

    Bring a black basic leotard, light ballet tights, dance shorts, light tan ballet slippers or pointe shoes, black character shoes, and a drinking bottle. Hair must be tied back. The teacher will help you choose the right shoes at the first lesson.

    Ballet & Pointe

    For advanced junior dancers with several years of previous ballet training.

    This class develops the strong technical foundation ballet gives for all dance styles and many sports. You will work on posture, control, strength, mobility, agility, coordination, endurance and confidence through barre exercises, center practice and across-the-floor combinations. The class also includes pointe work, which helps build ankle strength, balance and upper-body control. We also create new performances in class.

    Bring a black leotard, light dance tights, black dance shorts, light-colored ballet slippers, pointe shoes and a water bottle. Hair tied back.

    Dance Up Bellas

    Dance Up Bellas is a choreography group for dancers who want to perform, compete, and grow together as a close team. Each season the group learns a new choreography created for performances and dance competitions, giving you the chance to shine on stage and develop as both a performer and a dancer.

    This group is selected by audition. For the 2026–2027 season. Apply through the website form.

    In addition to the weekly class, you must choose at least one technique-focused class that supports your development, such as Contemporary or Jumps&Turns.

    The class combines attitude, energy, the latest hit songs and the movement language familiar from music videos. Jump in and try out a new dance class and forget the rules! Commercial is a mix of show, street and star vibes. This class is suitable for those, who want to try a new relaxed and fun dance style as well as for those, who just want to start dancing.

    Bring casual comfortable dance clothes and water bottle. You can dance either barefoot or wearing socks or dance sneakers.

    This class is for advanced dancers with several years of dance experience or a background in Commercial dance.     You will learn new choreography in a relaxed, fun atmosphere and get to challenge yourself with frequently changing sequences.

    Bring comfortable dance clothes that you enjoy moving in, plus a water bottle. You can dance barefoot, in socks or in dance sneakers.

    For dancers aged 12+ who already have several years of dance training.

    This contemporary dance class combines technique, floor acrobatics, across-the-floor sequences, a short combination, body care and improvisation. You will work on grounding, fluid movement and expressive body language while challenging your body in varied ways and finding your own way of moving.

    Come in relaxed, loose dance clothing and bring a water bottle. Dance barefoot or in socks, and keep your hair tied back.

    Ballet Flow

    A little boost and a moment of calm on a Friday afternoon before the weekend begins! Designed for adult dancers with previous experience who want to bring both body and soul under control through ballet technique and modern kinesiology insights. Our goal is to improve and maintain good posture, flexibility, balance, and overall movement quality. What to bring: form-fitting dance attire, soft ballet slippers, a water bottle and an open mind. What to leave at the door: any uncertainties or negative thoughts about your body, fitness level, or skills, any “I’d love to, but I don’t have time” excuses, and any preconceived notions about ballet. It’s the perfect way to kick off the weekend!

    Jumps & Turns

    Juniors 14+Advanced

    For dancers with several years of experience who want to improve their jumps and pirouettes with solid, safe technique. In this class, you will work on strengthening the muscles that support turning and jumping, developing take-off power, and finding the correct body alignment for each movement. We will also focus on pirouette placement and control.

    Alongside technique drills, you will learn short combinations in the center and across the floor, helping you build confidence, coordination, and cleaner movement quality. This class is a great way to develop your dancing safely and effectively.

    Wear form-fitting dancewear, bring a water bottle, and dance barefoot or in foot mitts. Keep your hair tied back.

    Dance Acrobatics

    Kids 9-12yIntermediate

    This class is designed for children who already have a few years of tumbling experience. We combine creative dance with skill-building to encourage kids to push their boundaries and joyfully explore new tricks and techniques. In this group, children should already be comfortable doing cartwheels and ready to give handstands a try. We also expect a degree of independence in class, so each child can work on their own as needed. After each session, kids leave happy and motivated to keep practicing their newfound skills in their free time.

    Please come with a positive attitude, a form-fitting dance outfit, and a water bottle. Bare feet and tied-up hair help ensure a safe and inspiring environment for everyone!

    For adults of age 30+ who want an opportunity to perform. We will progress step by step towards a choreography with plenty of support and laughing along the way. The course is an opportunity to form friendships during out-of-class get-togethers and traveling to the competitions. It takes commitment to be in this group. If there is less than 8 dancers in a group, we offer a small group dance class, where the students will get more personal attention. It will affect the fee of the class (for ex. 60 min class will cost as 90 min class). Agreement of each member and their guardians is required in order to form a small group.

Cancellation

With a doctor's certificate in the case of illness or when moving outside of the Tampere region, we will return the remaining part of the fee. Prosessing fee is 10€. Otherwise we do not return paid fees.
